UPDATE: Zero Hour: Blackout Vol. 3

Candidate 1 Final Vers 1 pic

I have some very good news for my readers who have been patiently (for the most part) waiting for Zero Hour, the 3rd installment my Blackout series. The editing is almost complete, and the cover design is coming along nicely as well. The manuscript has been through multiple round of editing at this point, and it is in the final stages of proofing. This is the last major step needed before it will be ready for publication!!

This book has been a journey for me. Dealing with health issues, work conflicts, and technological hiccups this year has been a roller coaster ride that at times has left me mentally, physically, and emotionally drained. But the finish line is finally in sight! This installment is longer than either of the first two books in the series, and it really digs into some of the characters and their motivations. There is also a good amount of action that takes place in a relatively short time as several of the major plot lines begin to converge. You’ll see some of the characters grow, some will begin to change in response to their new environment and new roles, and some….well, I don’t want to give away too much.

Thank you all for your patience, your encouragement, and most of all, thank you for reading!! When I started this process four years ago I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’d never published anything and had absolutely zero name recognition or following when I put out the first volume in the Blackout series, Officer of the Watch. I simply said a prayer, literally, and hit and hit the submit button. Four years later I’ve got two books on the market, a third almost ready for the shelves, two more in production, and I’ve sold more than 17,000 copies as a true self-published, independent author.

And every bit of that success is thanks to you, the readers who have picked up a copy of one of my books and read it. Many of you have been kind enough to offer feedback through reviews, comments here on my site, and emails. I want to assure that while I may not be able to respond to each one individually, I read every single review, comment, and email I get from my readers. You guys are a big part of why I’m doing this, and I want to hear what you have to say. Plus your feedback has helped me work on, and hopefully improve, my writing over the past few years.

So thanks again, and I hope you are all as excited about the upcoming release of Zero Hour as I am!
