Here’s a look at one of the possible covers for my latest book Storm Tide Rising. This will be my second book overall as well as the second installment in the Blackout series. While the manuscript for this book is going through the editing and proofreading stages, I’ve been working on cover design. I’ve been toying around with a few different layouts and designs, but the two shown above are on my short list of viable options.
Take a look at the covers and let me know what you think. I’ve got a few other options I’m entertaining, but these are the two that I keep coming back to again and again. And keep checking back for updates on Storm Tide Rising. I’m completely done with the first round of edits and I’m not expecting there to be any huge changes or revisions as a result of the second round. So, barring any unforeseen delays, it should be available for sale relatively soon (6-8 weeks tops).

I love the cover of the first book, with the dark skies and ominous clouds rising above the building gives it the perfect special effect. I think I would gravitate to that book first if I saw it in the bookstore. Good Luck!!

Awesome! That seems to be the general consensus I’ve received over the past few days since posting this. I think this also fits with the overall theme of the second book, which is about the gathering storm and how the individual groups from the first book are making themselves ready.

The first cover does hold my attention longer than the second. I like them both, but the second feels more text-bookie, while the first definitely plays with my imagination. Good luck!
